[INSIDE]
who you really are...
Personality:
There is so much to say about this girl, yet such little time to do it. Well, to start, she's a very loud person. She says whatever comes to that crazy little head of hers and hardly ever thinks it through. (A quirk that has gotten her into trouble more times than she'd care to remember.) She's spontanious, and doesn't care what other people think of her. She had been raised with it ingrained in her head that it didn't matter what other people thought--possibly because she was so different than the others, in more ways than one.
Alice, or Ren as she prefers to be called, is incredibly gifted in music. Her brain functions in a manner similar to that of an iPod, songs constantly weaving in and out of her mind as the day goes by. She can sing and play a song after only hearing it once, and does it quite well. It's not only a pretty voice, but something magically melodic that captivates audiences. Not just that, but she could play any instrument you placed in front of her. She's super creative, and likes to write songs and poems too. These, however, don't see the light of day. It's not that she's embarrassed, or anything. (Heavens no; the world would be better if anything ever embarrassed her!) It's merely that no one has done anything to deserve reading them.
Ren has quite a sense of humor, never passing up on an oportunity to crack a joke. While sometimes they seem misplaced, her only intention is to lighten the mood. She doesn't like awkward silences or tense moments, so she breaks them with a joke or two. It's a protective device; she destracts others from what she might be feeling with humor.
She really is a sweet girl, deep down. She normally thinks of others before herself, trying to find ways to make life easier for friends and family. Despite what many may think, she's a selfless person and longs only to make loved ones happy.

Stronger with sunlight.

Occasional prophetic dream.
Slight power over plagues. (Nothing to serious; the most she's done is make a particularly rude boy get the flu.)

History:
Have you ever been angry? I mean really angry; angry enough to do something really, really stupid?
Ren's mother has. Anna Rain had found out that her soon-to-be husband had been cheating on her for about three months. She broke off the engagement and went out that night, finding a handsome man who was more than willing to make her forget about that scum. He was possibly the most attractive person she had ever known, and a really good kisser.
It didn't turn out to be a one night thing, like both had originally planned. The young man (who at the time, called himself Matthew) had taken a liking to Anne, and had spent many a day and night with her for about two years. And to say a little baby girl was a gift from above was quite an understatement; Matthew had decided that the conception of a baby was reason enough to reveal his true identity to his lover: the god Apollo.
Anne, of course, didn't believe him at first. For about a month she didn't see him, thinking that he was insane. Who wouldn't, if their boyfriend told them that he was a mythological god? It wasn't something she could easily wrap her mind around. Apollo continued to try, though. He was particularly fond of this mortal, and wasn't about to give up on her when she was carrying his child. Somehow, he managed to convince her that his words were true, and eight more months down the road his beautiful baby daughter was born.
Apollo couldn't stay long enough to see the child grow up, though. He had to go; he was needed elsewhere. While Anne was not exactly happy that he was leaving her, she didn't let it get in the way of raising Ren. All of Ren's life, she had been told that her father was Apollo. There was never a doubt in her mind that she wasn't part god. She was quite proud of her abnormal DNA, though she had kept it a secret from all the other kids. (No matter how much she wanted to gloat. "My dad's a doctor." "Oh yeah? Mine's a god!")
Ren had a little trouble in school, being dyslexic. She also saw things that other children didn't, such as monsters roaming the streets. (Well, some children saw them, but that was more of a personal problem.) But her journey to a camp full of people like her was relitively easy, compared to some other campers'. Her mom simply took her there one summer, saying it would be fun to finally be with people like her. She was 13 at the time, and just thought her mom was trying to get rid of her for the summer. But she was surprised to find that the campers were actual demigods, like her, and even more shocked to find that her father had claimed her almost instantly. She met some of her brothers and sisters, a family she always wanted but never dreamed of having. She learned more about herself, and her powers, and even her dad. She went back every summer after that, blissfully unaware of what was to come.
